My story: Hi, I’m Willy — Italian-born, now based in Sagres, Portugal, where I’ve found the perfect home for surf and outdoor living. Together with Karma Surf we want to bring you a surf coaching service focused on intermediate surfers.
With a degree in Sport Science and over 10 years of coaching experience in both surfing and snowboarding, I’ve worked with people all over the world — from total beginners to advanced riders.
But after years in big surf, I noticed something missing: intermediate surfers were often left behind. Once you’re past the basics, there’s rarely any guidance — just trial and error.
That’s why I started this project. My mission is to help surfers who’ve outgrown the surf camp scene but still feel stuck — to give them structure, feedback, and confidence. Through in-water coaching, video analysis, surfskate training, and WhatsApp support, I help you become the independent surfer you want to be.
Yes, this is exactly who I coach. You do not need to be an advanced surfer. If you can paddle out and catch green waves but feel stuck, you are in the right place.
Normal surf schools focus on beginners. I work only with intermediate surfers. Every session is personal, technical, and built around your specific weaknesses.
Absolutely. Even one focused session with video analysis can change the way you surf. Most surfers notice a real difference after just one or two sessions with us.
No. I provide a board and wetsuit if you need them. Just show up and I handle the rest.
Start with a private 1-1 session. I will assess your surfing in the water, identify the main issues, and build a clear plan from there.
Yes. I offer small group sessions for 2 to 3 surfers. You still get individual feedback, just at a lower price per person.
Sagres has west and south facing beaches. In 10 years here, I have never had a completely flat day. I always find the right spot for the conditions on the day.
